Mirage have invested over £250k in brand new rental products for your machine breakdowns or shortages during peak loads and one off applications where we can offer our own technical support engineers.

Sub sea seam weld and doubler plate milling

Mirage were tasked to find a sub sea solution to removal of seam welds and anode doubler plates on memebers located on Total's Dunbar project. The machine removed the 30mm thick 260mm diameter doubler plates in 3 hours.

Mirage Single Pile Mechanical cutter

Mirage have devloped a single pile cutter covering 24 - 48" piles and wall sections of up to 2". Predominantly aimed at the decommisioning market in deep water where abrasive water jet cutting is not considered to be an option. The machine is hydraulically controlled from an umbilical and HPU at surface.

Mirage building expansion

After just 6 months in it's new facility and due to the rapid expansion Mirage along with Acteon its group owners commissioned the same developer to expand its facility and create over double the capacity at its new Derby site.

GM3000 CNC - Portable CNC milling machine 3m X 2m area

A cnc milling machine with all the functionality of a workshop machine including contouring, circular holes, drilling cycles, slotting, conversational control with "teach path" facility. two or three axis with servo drives and 3hp spindle.

CWP1425 - Circular Weld Preps to 12 - 56" diameter

A purpose built machine to significantly reduce the time taken to prep holes in vessels or flat plates. The machine removes the need to hand grind weld preps and can be swivelled to suit particular preps. Please contact us for information on this new development. Features the MM600ie drive and contour following features with magnetic mounts specifically for large diameter vessels.

Following on from the success of our internal / external range of flange fracers we have now got close to the launch of a smaller version that will cover 0 - 24" when externally mounted and up to 60" when internally mounted. The machine also features the ability to be converted into an orbital mill with addition of a spindle and reduction drive. The details are now posted on the Flange facing page.

MOUNTING MAGNETS

NEW - portable quick set up mounting magnets for portable machining applications. Mirage has developed magnets that can now be used with no electrical supply and that give suitable pull forces for milling, drilling and all other portable mounting appliactions. These magnets will greatly reduce mounting and set up times on many light cutting applications.

HT20 MAG BASE DRILL

A new portable drill for smaller sized holes where a 4MT taper is needed. Mirage has had to develope this machine for our own workshop after years of searching for a mag base drill with an accurate slide system, controlled feed and direct drive 4MT. We now use this machine in our assembly factory.

W2500 / WP4300 ORBITAL MILLING MACHINES

A new process in flange facing larger iszed flanges where production speed is important. We have developed a rotaor blade machine that delivers a floor to floor time of 45 minutes on a 2m flange with accurracy of 0.05mm on just three bonded mounting points. This technology has now been transfered to the tower fabrications and other flange facing.

MR1000 - 2/3 AXIS MILLING MACHINE

An ever more popular choice for its size and versatility with 0.8m STROKE on its main axis and the ability to be converted quickly into a 3 axis machine. This has enabled the machine to be utilsed on shafts with our mounting magnets to quickly re machine keyways.

CHT635LP- LOW PRESSURE HOT TAPPING MACHINE

A lightweight version of the CHT machines with 25" STROKE that is specifically designed for the water industry, gas industry and building services where weight and access are potential problems. The machine carries the same design features as the CHT range but with a pressure capacity of 500 p.s.i maximum.
